Electric Aggregation Update

Electric Aggregation

Since last August 2017 through the end of October this year, the Village has contracted with Dynegy Energy Services, LLC., to provide electric service to our residents and small businesses. The present 14 month contract with Dynegy has saved our resident’s $211,318.44. Recently, the Electric Aggregation Committee sought proposals for a new electric supplier. The Village Board is pleased to announce that we have finalized an Amendment Agreement to the present Dynegy contract with a fixed price of 7.115 cents per kWh for the next 36 months, ending in October 2021. This was the lowest bid price received and this will be lower than the ComEd rate of 7.941 cent per kWh beginning in October 2018 through May 2019. All other components of the present contract remain the same.  If residents wish to switch back to ComEd during this time, there still is no fee to opt-out of the program. Residents will begin to receive the opt-out letters beginning next Tuesday, August 28th through September 18th. Please contract Rania Serences at 630-368-5164 with any questions or concerns.
