Metro Infectious Disease Consultants (MIDC) is located in Burr Ridge at 901 McClintock Drive and is currently accepting email requests from people interested in making an appointment for a COVID immunization.
Due to unprecedented demand for vaccinations, MIDC has limited their eligible categories to:
- ANYONE 65 and older from DuPage County
- Police and Fire Personnel in Oak Brook
- Childcare workers in Oak Brook
- Teachers in Oak Brook
If you are within one of these 4 categories in Oak Brook, then please email: vaccine@midcusa.com to be placed on a list for an appointment to get the vaccine.
Immunizations began on Monday, January 25, 2021, and take place Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., with appointments every 5 minutes. Several nurses will be on staff administering the vaccine. Both Pfizer and Moderna will be administered. MIDC is only scheduling appointments for the amount of immunizations they receive. They do not know how many immunizations they will be receiving.
Vaccination prioritization will continue to change as COVID-19 vaccine supply increases in the coming weeks.
Other options to receive a COVID immunization include calling your physician’s office, retail pharmacies and neighborhood hospitals including the Good Samaritan Wellness Center starting February 1st. You can also register with DuPage County here (Website Link) to register for the vaccine.
