[ARCHIVED] Bath & Tennis Club -- Aquatics Season Update

Swim & Tennis

Dear Bath and Tennis Club Members,

We would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on the construction of the Bath & Tennis pools.

As of Thursday morning, delivery of some of the resin needed to complete the job was on-site and work began in the lap pool to seal cracks. Additionally, tile-laying for the lane markers and near the gutters began. The Park District has asked the Village to work with the contractor to prioritize all available resin on the lap and wading pools, to get some of the pools open as soon as possible. While we can’t say for certain when all of the pools will open, a Memorial Day Weekend opening is looking even more unlikely since the last time we provided an update. We will continue to do everything we can to push the contractor on this job but we wanted to be transparent as well.

If the Bath & Tennis Pools don’t open on time, the Park District is planning several private swimming opportunities. Each opportunity will grant Bath & Tennis members exclusive access to the Family Aquatic Center at the Oak Brook Park District. Members will have access to the indoor lap and leisure pools, along with Splash Island outdoors. The facility will only be open to Bath & Tennis Members during these times. The tentative dates of these events are as follows:

Sat, May 29: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Sun, May 30: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Mon, May 31: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Memorial Day)

Sat, June 5: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Sun, June 6: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

We appreciate your loyalty to the Bath & Tennis Club and we will continue to do everything possible to get the pools open as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Dave Thommes

Deputy Director
