This past Saturday, the Village hosted an electronics-recycling drop off event at the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club parking lot.
Despite multiple advertising methods, some residents may have missed this opportunity. With the cooperation of Flood Brothers, they have offered to leave the electronics collection dumpsters available for electronic disposal at the Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club Parking Lot located at 800 Oak Brook Rd until Thursday, November 17th until 12:00 noon.
If you still have electronics that you wish to recycle, please drop them off inside the designated dumpster by 12:00 noon this Thursday.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency states electronic waste is now the fastest growing segment of our nation's garbage production. There are ways that each and every one of us can turn this around -- by recycling! Electronic waste, including computers and TVs, contain toxic materials such as lead, chromium, cadmium, mercury, beryllium, nickel, zinc and other potentially harmful chemicals. The EPA warns when electronics that contain these materials are not recycled or are not disposed of properly; the hazardous chemicals can contaminate the ground water and present additional environmental concerns.
