[ARCHIVED] Recycling Political Signs

Electronics Re-Cycling

The Village of Oak Brook is offering to recycle election yard signs from the recent consolidated election.  Election yard signage typically has two parts: the metal stake that goes into the ground to support the sign and the sign itself with the campaign messaging.  Neither of these two parts is recyclable in regular municipal curbside or drop-off recycling collection.

However, the Village has arranged to recycle these sign components through a specialized recycling collection site.

Any election signs that you have for recycling must be dropped off at the Oak Brook Public Works Facility at 3003 Jorie Blvd, Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM.  All signs must be dropped off by 3:00 PM on Monday May 22, 2022.

Further questions about this program can be directed to info@oak-brook.org or by calling Public Works at 630-368-5270.
