Freedom of Information Request
Complete a Freedom of Information Request Form by any of the following methods:
NOTE: The Village of Oak Brook replies to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests that are received by email as soon as they are received. If you do not receive a reply acknowledging the receipt of your FOIA request within 72 hours after submittal, please call (630) 368-5032.
- Online submission (Please DO NOT use Internet Explorer version 11 or earlier)

- Fax your request form to (630) 368-5033
- Drop off your request (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the Village Hall,
- Email your request

Submit all completed and signed forms concurrently.

Request a Document
Records and information will be made available for inspection and copying unless the requested documents are exempt under the Freedom of Information Act (5ILCS 140/7). Each request will be complied with or denied within five working days after it is received. The five day period may be extended up to five (5) additional working days if needed (5 ILCS 140/3). Fee Guidelines
- If the requester is a public body or a person acting in an official capacity as an officer of that public body, no charges shall be imposed. (5 ILCS 140/6)
- Materials that require duplication to be outsourced, shall be charged based on the cost of such copying or reproduction.
- Records in book or pamphlet form shall be assessed based upon the cost of such materials incurred by the Village.
