1000 Books Before Kindergarten
The Oak Brook Public Library is proud to be part of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten nationwide initiative. Find out more about the 1,000 Books Foundation .
Sign up your newborn, infant or toddler for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. This ongoing program will help build your child’s vocabulary, print awareness, early literacy skills and more as you read 1000 books before they start their first day of Kindergarten.
Stop by the Youth Services desk today to sign up. Your child will get prizes along the way to celebrate as you read!

Museum Passes
Museum Adventure Pass
Oak Brook Public Library cardholders can check out free or discounted passes to many of the local area museums and attractions, including the Brookfield Zoo, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art and many others. More information (PDF). Passes available in-person or online. Note online requests can only be filled during regular Library hours. Request your pass online.
