[ARCHIVED] The Village Board recently awarded a new electric aggregation contract to Verde Energy

The Village Board recently awarded a new electric aggregation contract to Verde Energy. Verde Energy offered a bid of 5.1840 cents per kwh starting January 2014 through June 2015. This was the lowest of 4 bids submitted. It is approximately 13% lower than the current Com Ed supply charge and 6% lower than the Village’s current aggregation contract with Integrys.

Residents who are currently participating in the Village aggregation plan and all new ComEd accounts will receive a letter notifying them of the price and contract terms with the new supplier and will be automatically enrolled in the new aggregation program unless they opt out.

Residents who are not currently part of the aggregation program may join the program at any time by contacting the Village's supplier. The Village strongly urges any resident that intends to cancel an existing supply contract in order to join the aggregation program to carefully review their current contract to ensure that cancellation will not impose termination fees.
